Darkmaster Ltd is committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for staff, contractors, and visitors. We ask that you read and follow our terms and conditions when visiting our premises.
1. Services
1.1. The description of our Escape rooms are set out on our website. Darkmaster Ltd has the right to alter these without prior notice for Safety or game enhancements.
1.2. Due to the nature of the games, it is not recommended that people with high blood pressure, heart conditions, photosensitivity, back problems, or pre-existing medical conditions or pregnant women, play our games. This is not an exhaustive list and you should consult your doctor to ensure you are safe to play our games.
1.3. Inside the games there may be dim lighting, small crawling spaces, low ceilings, physical activities, sudden jolts and unexpected noises. You may also come into contact with sand, water, motion platforms, fake snow, strobe lighting and smoke.
2. Your Conduct
2.1. Whilst at the escape rooms, all players are bound by the relevant health and safety procedures, fire procedures and any other directions given by our staff.
2.2. Any breach of these terms or any unacceptable behaviour by you or your guests, that is likely to cause damage, nuisance, injury to any other visitor or member of staff will lead to you being ejected from the premises.
2.3. Unacceptable Behaviour
- Customers and visitors must not engage in behaviour of a sexual nature that is unwelcome or offensive to staff or other visitors, including:
- Sexual comments, jokes, or gestures (these need not be aimed at a particular individual, they can simply be overheard)
- Unwelcome touching or physical contact
- Displaying sexual material
- Any conduct of a sexual nature likely to create a hostile or intimidating environment.
2.4. No smoking, no pets or animals except for guide dogs or service animals are permitted on the premises.
2.5. You may not bring weapons or potential weapons, onto the premises. Any person found in possession of these items will be asked to leave.
2.6. No use of illegal drugs, or consumption of alcohol is allowed in any part of the escape rooms or surrounding premises.
2.7. You agree not to copy, reproduce or republish any part of the content of the escape rooms including clues, sets or games. Darkmaster Ltd expects their visitors directly or indirectly (including social media) not to disclose any details of the game to other members of the public.
2.8. Flat shoes must be worn when entering the escape rooms due to damage that could be caused to our sets and for your personal safety. We strongly recommend comfortable clothing.
2.9. We accept no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to any personal belongings brought into the escape rooms, or any vehicles parked in the car park. Lockers will be provided for personal belongings in our foyer but we recommend you do not bring valuables into the Escape Rooms.
2.10 Company Response
If a customer behaves inappropriately or ignores any condition above they will be asked to leave. No Refund will be given and serious incidents or behaviour will be reported to the police. In addition customers will not be allowed to return to the Escape Rooms in the future.
3. Fees and Payments
3.1. Payment must be made in full at the time of the booking.
3.2. Games booked may not be transferred or resold to another person.
4. Cancellations
4.1. Flexibooking must be purchased in order to cancel or amend your booking. Please contact the escape rooms if you wish to make amendments under the Flexi-booking scheme. If you choose not to use Flexi-booking no amendments or refunds can be issued.
4.2. In rare circumstances beyond our control Darkmaster Ltd reserve the right to cancel a booking, but we endeavour to notify you as soon as we become aware that this is necessary. Should we have to cancel your booking a full refund will be issued. Every effort will be made to rebook the customer at the earliest opportunity.
5. Privacy
5.1. Our customer’s privacy is critical to us, we respect your privacy and all data protection laws are adhered to in accordance with our privacy policy, which customers can request a copy of.
5.2. As a customer you agree to CCTV being used within the rooms to ensure customer safety and data will be stored for 30 days. In addition any photographs or footage taken during play may be used for our social media and marketing purposes.
5.3 The Website www.darkmaster.co.uk is owned and operated by Darkmaster Ltd. The company has the right to alter or vary the website from time to time. This website is for your personal use when booking Escape Rooms. You may not copy, reproduce, publish or use commercially in any way, or sell any information obtained from the website. Any infringement of this will result in legal action being taken.
5.4 The trademarks and logos displayed on the website are the property of Darkmaster Ltd. You are not permitted to use, copy, modify, or reproduce any of these. Darkmaster website may contain links to other 3rd party website, these are out of the control of Darkmaster Ltd and therefore used at your own risk.
5.5 Darkmaster Ltd collects and stores your personal information and will use this to contact you re upcoming events and promotions, it will not be disclosed to any 3rd parties.
6. Severability
6.1. Darkmaster Ltd will not be liable for any damages, liability or obligation to persons or property arising for an extraordinary event such as war, riots, epidemic, or an event described in legal terms as ”an act of God” which prevents the Escape Rooms being used.
